and i got to thinking: that's a father's love for his daughter. in most cases and for most intents and purposes, that's natural. it's automatic. as is a daughter's love for her father. or her mother. or her brother. or her grandfather. the child she'll have one day. even that great aunt she never sees. it's familial.
but there's this whole other part of your heart that's for voluntary love. for friends. for pets. for that person that's your "ever-after."
and that's so much less automatic. and more choiceful. a love that's picky. a love that's not given freely. a love that can be lost.
cherish both, people. they're both enduring. but no that no one can be loved with "all my heart."
